The simple-to-use t:slim X2™ insulin pump is one of the smallest pumps available,§1 yet can hold a surprisingly large amount of insulin – up to 300 units – thanks to its flat insulin cartridge design and rechargeable battery. The pump is ultra-strong — the aluminum case is very durable and light. The touchscreen is made of high-grade, shatter-resistant glass.

Your t:slim X2 pump can be customized to deliver different rates of basal insulin to meet your changing needs throughout the day and night. Delivering a bolus is also easy using the colour touchscreen and integrated bolus calculator. The t:slim X2 insulin pump is the only pump that can be updated with new features during its warranty period.‡

Now Featuring Basal-IQ Technology

Available to t:slim X2 insulin pump users with Dexcom G6 CGM integration, Basal-IQ™ technology is a predictive low-glucose suspend feature that predicts and helps prevent lows with zero fingersticks.*

The Basal-IQ feature helps reduce the frequency and duration of low-glucose events by predicting sensor glucose values 30 minutes ahead and suspending insulin if they are expected to drop below 4.4 mmol/L, or if a sensor reading falls below 3.9 mmol/L. Insulin delivery resumes automatically as soon as sensor glucose values begin to rise.

Responsible Use of Basal-IQ Technology

Systems like the t:slim X2 insulin pump with Basal-IQ technology are not substitutes for active diabetes management, as there are common scenarios in which automated systems cannot prevent hypoglycemia. The Basal-IQ feature relies on continuous CGM readings and will not be able to predict glucose levels and suspend insulin delivery if your CGM is not working properly or is unable to communicate with your pump. Be sure to always use your pump, cartridges, CGM, and infusion sets as instructed and check them regularly to make sure they are working properly. Always pay attention to your symptoms, actively monitor your glucose levels, and treat according to your healthcare provider’s recommendations.

 

* If glucose alerts and CGM readings from your Dexcom G6 CGM system do not match symptoms or expectations, use a blood glucose meter to make diabetes treatment decisions.
† If glucose alerts and readings from your Dexcom G5 Mobile CGM system do not match your symptoms or expectations, or you are taking medications containing paracetamol, you should perform a fingerstick to confirm your blood glucose level. A minimum of two fingersticks a day are required for calibration.
‡ Software and feature updates are subject to regulatory approvals and may not be available in all areas.
